Reactoonz 100 is Play’n GO’s 2025 rebuild of its cult 7x7 cluster game, and the number in the name is the whole pitch: an Energized Toon multiplier that climbs to x100, lifting the ceiling to a reported 10,000x bet - more than double the original’s 4,570x. There are still no free spins. The game remains one long meter grind punctuated by Quantum features and, rarely, the Gargantoon - and the demo is where you learn what that grind feels like before it costs anything.
How the game works
The skeleton is unchanged from the 2017 original: a 7x7 grid where five or more matching symbols touching horizontally or vertically pay as a cluster, winners vanish, and new symbols cascade in for chained wins. One-eyed aliens are the low pays, two-eyed aliens the high pays.
Two engines run underneath every spin:
- Fluctuating symbol: each round one low-pay symbol fluctuates; win with it and it leaves two wilds behind on the grid.
- Quantum Charger: every winning symbol feeds the meter. Reviews put each charge at 25 collected symbols; charges queue up to four random Quantum features, and the fifth charge always summons the Gargantoon.
Dead spins are not always dead either - an instability effect is reported to toss four to eight wilds onto losing grids at random, forcing action where there was none.
The Energized Toon is the 100
One symbol carries the energized state, and any cluster win containing it is multiplied by the current multiplier. The multiplier itself grows with everything you win: one-eyed cluster wins add +1, two-eyed wins add +3, up to a cap of x100.
The honest catch is in the fine print: the multiplier only touches wins that include the Energized Toon, and reviews report it resets once the round ends. So the dream scenario is a single monster chain - cascades rolling, Quantum features firing, the multiplier compounding - where the Energized Toon keeps landing inside the wins. That intersection is rare, and watching how rare is exactly what a few hundred demo spins are for.
Quantum features and the Gargantoon
The four queued features are Play’n GO’s own names:
- Implosion - turns three to six symbols into wilds and destroys the symbols around them
- Alteration - picks a one-eyed symbol and transforms all of its matches into another symbol
- Demolition - blasts away all one-eyed symbols and their matches
- Incision - cuts diagonal lines through the grid from a central wild, filling both with the same symbol
The fifth charge is the headliner, and it now runs in reverse. The Gargantoon arrives as nine single wilds, then two 2x2 wilds, then one full 3x3 wild, each stage followed by fresh symbol drops - the original did the opposite, dropping the 3x3 first and splitting it apart. An escalating Gargantoon under a built-up multiplier is where the reported 10,000x lives.
The trade-off reviewers flag after comparing pay tables: base cluster pays were trimmed versus the original - the top 15+ cluster pay is reported down from 750x to 100x - and the Giantoonz feature is gone. The multiplier is what you get in exchange, which makes this an even more top-heavy game than its parent.
RTP honesty check
The default build is reported at 96.2%, but Play’n GO supplies reduced variants - 94.2%, 91.2%, 87.2% and even 84.2% are documented in slot databases - and the casino decides which one you get. The lowest build carries roughly four times the default’s house edge, on a game whose volatility is reported at 10 out of 10 on Play’n GO’s own scale. Check the info panel where you play; our RTP guide shows exactly what to look for.
The bottom line
Reactoonz 100 keeps everything that made the original hypnotic - the cascades, the meter, the big alien - and bolts a x100 multiplier on top, reportedly paying for it with leaner base pays. Learn in the demo how rarely the Energized Toon actually intersects a big chain, compare it with the original Reactoonz demo to feel the difference, and if you like Play’n GO’s grid style, the Moon Princess demo is the other cult classic in the family.
