About Rate Corner
Rate Corner is an independent guide to crypto casinos. We exist because the single biggest problem in online gambling isn't rigged games - it's winning and then not being able to withdraw. We review casinos with that front and center.
The Corner Score
Every casino we review gets a Corner Score - our 0-5 rating, computed as the plain arithmetic mean of six dimensions scored against a fixed internal rubric. No manual overrides, no sponsor bumps: if a dimension is wrong, we fix the dimension, never the total. The same evidence earns the same score at every casino, whether it pays us commission or not.
Every review scores six things, honestly:
- Payout speed - how fast and reliably a casino actually pays.
- KYC policy - whether verification rules are stated up front or sprung at withdrawal.
- Game selection - range and quality of games and providers.
- Bonus fairness - real wagering, max-bet and win-cap terms, not just headline numbers.
- Support - availability and quality when something goes wrong.
- Trust - verifiable license, operator transparency, payout reputation.
How we verify a licence
Licence claims come from the regulator's own systems, never from review sites or the casino's marketing. We read the register itself, and every check lands in one of three states: verified (we found the row and quote it), not found (we could read the register, we can prove it with a control entry we did find, and the casino is not there), or could not check (the register would not load for us - which we say plainly and never publish as a strike against the casino). A retrieval failure is our problem, not the casino's, and treating those as different things is the difference between a verdict and a guess. Licence terms carry expiry dates, so reviews show a re-verification notice when a term lapses until we have read the register again.
How slot guides are sourced
Game facts come from the provider's own page first. Where a studio publishes a number (RTP, max win, layout), we state it; where it does not, the figure comes from game databases and is labelled "reported" instead of being passed off as certain. Every guide warns that studios ship reduced-RTP builds of most games and the casino picks the version, because that single fact changes the math more than any feature does. The demos are the provider's own embeds, and we never claim play-testing we have not done - the guides tell you what to check, not what we pretend to have felt.
What we never do
- No pay-for-placement, and no score that moves for commercial reasons - warning reviews carry no affiliate links at all.
- No invented testing claims - "we deposited and cashed out" appears only if we did.
- No silent edits on things that matter - corrections are dated on the page.
- No licence facts from anywhere but the regulator, and no quote from a casino's terms without its section number, so you can check it yourself.
Who writes this
Rate Corner is a small two-person team: the founder, who runs the research and the site, and Anna T., who reviews and publishes our pages - reviews carry her byline. We are honest about our size rather than inventing a large team of experts. Every page goes through the same process: primary sources first (the casino's own terms, the regulator's own license validator), the public complaint record second, and honest labels on anything we could not verify or have not yet tested first-hand. You can reach the team on X, Reddit, or YouTube. As the publication grows, additional researchers and reviewers will join and be credited. Questions about anything we publish: contact us.
Corrections and updates
When we get something wrong, we fix the page and say so. Reviews and research pages carry their check dates, and the KYC Policy Database logs every revision in its change log. Casino terms change quietly - if you spot something out of date, tell us via the contact page and we will re-verify it against the primary source.
How we make money (and why it doesn't bend our ratings)
We may earn a commission when you sign up through links on this site. It never changes our ratings - we only recommend casinos that actually pay. A casino that freezes withdrawals is worthless to our readers, and a reader who gets burned never comes back. Our incentive is your trust, not any single commission.
